Simulation Research of Digital Output Sensor Based on Delta-Sigma Modulation Technique

摘要: 本文提出一种将增量总和调制技术应用在数字输出传感器信号检测电路中的设计方案, 该方案利用加法器、 前置放大器、 环路滤波器、 模拟/数字转换ADC芯片、 DAC芯片和反馈放大器构建二阶12比特过采样增量总和调制反馈环, 实现对温度变化等传感器信号的检测。 本文通过理论分析和传递函数推导, 分析和研究了该设计方案对ADC量化噪声以及前置放大器的非理想特性的抑制作用, 说明该方案能够降低电路的本底噪声, 获得比增量总和调制反馈环内ADC和DAC高得多的分辨力等。 实验仿真结果表明, 本文提出的设计方案能够直接将被测的模拟量转化为高质量的数字信号输出, 在数字输出传感器信号检测领域具有较好的应用前景。

Abstract: We propose a design of applying delta-sigma modulation technique into digital output sensor’s signal detection circuit. A two-order 12-bit delta-sigma modulator is built by using adder, pre-amplifier, loop filter, ADC chip, DAC chip and feedback amplifier, so as to realize the detection of high-precision digital output sensor signals for temperature changes. Through theoretical analysis and transfer function derivation, we clarify that the signal detection circuit can suppress the quantization noise of the ADC chip and the non-ideal characteristics of the preamplifier. It also can reduce the background noise level of the circuit and obtain much higher resolution than the ADC and DAC chip in the delta-sigma modulation feedback loop. The simulation results show that the proposed design can directly convert the analog signal to be measured into high-quality digital signal output, and is expected to have a good application prospect in the field of sensor signal detection.
