Abstract: In this paper, comparative research is conducted on the data of water level vibration and face wave at the same geologic location,and the response “calibration” of water level for the stress and strain of the aquifer is estimated. The data of water level vibration in the Tangshan coal mine well and seismic face wave recorded by Douhe seismic station in Tangshan are used here. Estimated “calibration” is 9.182×10^_l0/cm,that is variation in the water level of Tangshan coal mine well for 1 centimeter when the vertical strain of the aquifer is 9.182×10^_l0/cm in the Tangshan coal mine well.
