Abstract: Based on the study of deep-seated and shallow geologic structure, regional stress field, and related data, tectonodynamic seismogenic model of Gonghe earthquake(M_S 7.0, 1990) is presented. That is NWW-NE faults combination seismogeny model. In this model, NWW Wayuxiangka-lagan buried fault is earthquake-generating one, NE buried fault is induced earthquake one, the increasing of regional tectonic stress is principal force of preparation and occurrence of the earthquake.
