Abstract: Based on the numerical simulation carried out a few months ago,the migration of seismic activity in China and its adjacent areas is studied.Collisional process between India plate and Eurasia Plate control the seismic activity in China. The activity of strong earthquakes in Burma arc (East arc),Pamirs arc (West arc),and Himalayan arc has a close correlation with that in inland one.And also the physical mechanism of the existence of active and quiet period, and the migration law of seismic activity in group can be explained by this correlation.

Key words: Seismic activity, Migration, Active period, Quiet period
