Research on the response anomalies of subsurface f luid in mainland monitoring network to the Nantou earthquake with MS 7. 6

Abstract: The anomalies occurred 5 days before and after Nantou 7. 6 earthquake are named as response anomalies. The study on the response a noma lies shows that: 1. There are m any measures including groundwater level, temperature and radon etc. occurred anomalies. 2. The answering anomalies are widely distributed in the eastern China. 3. Most forms of the anomalies are of large amplitude and easily distinguished. 4. The anomalies mainly occurred in 21-26 Sept. and lasted a long period. It was thought that the seismic risk area might be the area w here the anomalies clustered. And this implied that the event might occur in short -term or medium-short -term period.
