Abstract: The observed data of the body-strain meterat Changqing Station in Sh and ong Province, occurred several times of similar sudden jump with large am plitude. Inorder torecognize the phenomena, we conducted a test about the switchover of the alternating cur-rent and direct current, and analyzed synthetically the data of the water level, and atmo-spheric pressure. The results show that all the water level, theatmospheric pressure and the switch of the power supply cannot cause the sudden jump of the observed data. Com-pared with other similar observations, we consider that such jump may be related with the "slow earthquake " eventsor the "bore-hole collapsing ".
