Seismic characteristics before the M8. 1 earthquake in the West to the pass of the Kunlun Mountain

Abstract: In this paper, based on discussing the prediction results of different stages of long and middleterm before the M8. 1 earthquake in the West to the pass of the Kunlun Mountain, the authors studied the seismic characteristics before this earthquake. The results show that there were many spatial anomalies such as earthquake band, earthquake gap, seismically strengthening area and quadrant, as well as some time-dependent seismic parameters′anomalies before this great earthquake. These characteristics may be of a certain reference significance for the study and prediction of great earthquakes.
