Abstract: In order to study the characteristic relation between the fault deformation anomaly from some main fault zones and their seismic activities, the anomaly parameters and strain accumulation rate in North China are evaluated based on the fault deformation in this paper. The correlation between the fault deformation anomalies from same fracture zones and their earthquake occurrence is of well correspondence. The occurrence of strong earthquakes along Hetao-Zhangjiakou-Penglai active structure zone, show that the parameters of the fault deformation anomaly in Beijing area present the features of obvious precursory anomaly as a whole. The parameters of the fault deformation anomaly from northern part of Shanxi zone reflected the strong earthquake activity along Shanxi fault subsidence zone and its extension section. The rate of the fault strain accumulation shows the size of the stress accumulation, when its value is larger; the region where the surveying site is located, earthquake activity is frequent, or otherwise.
