Abstract: The necessity and feasibility of integration and compilation of earthquake precursory observation data is briefly described in this paper. Also, the choice of database and its features are introduced. Earthquake precursory observation data within the Capital Circle Area including 5 provinces and 2 municipalities are systematically collected, analyzed, summarized and stored into CAPOMEN Database. With WDC-D support, the 344M earthquake precursory observation data of 8 departments are obtained and compiled, including 304 stations and 1709 observation methods. Of all the 304 stations, the professional stations are 121, and local stations are 183. Moreover, this system also uses WEB and FTP tools to exchange and share data with other users, and provides many services such as precursory data query, browse and down load for WWW users, which are used CAPOmen platform as the background database and based on Internet browsers. The 3 data share types of WDC-D database are presented, involved in the application based on Client/Server structure within an Intranet, and the data download and graphical service with Browse/Server mode in the Internet. The advantages and disadvantages of these data share services are mentioned in this paper. Finally, some proposals are provided for discussion.
