Abstract: Through studying spatial feature of the in-situ continuously occurred M≥5.0 earthquakes in China's mainland since 1950, we have found that there is property of filling in gap of group earthquakes in situ for each periods, and there are areas of main activity in each period and there is close relation between the in situ continuously occurred M≥5.0 earthquake and the M≥7.0 earthquakes. Based on the characteristics, we can provide reference for determining areas of M≥7.0 earthquakes and the in situ continuously occurred earthquakes with M≥5.0 in China′s mainland in the future. It is a new attempt in seismicity analysis, and needs time to be verified.

Key words: China′s mainland, In situ continuously occurrence, Group earthquakes, Spatial feature
