Abstract: This paper has discussed the characteristics of co-seismic ground tilt, strain and gravity waves, and their attenuation. It is shown that the attenuation coefficients of co-seismic deformation waves recorded by different instruments are close in different areas. The characteristics of co-seismic deformations waves of Indonesia earthquakes give us a chance to understand the influence of instrument work parameters, relative disturbances nearby observation sites on the deformation measurement, and to study the attenuation process of deformation waves.
