Analyzing the characteristics of short-term anomalous information of GPS time-series data before earthquake

Abstract: Analyzing the characteristics of the time-series data of horizontal displacement from the continuous GPS network in time and frequency domain, the similarity transformation is conducted in order to give prominence to the local deformation by selecting a few stations in the Eastern China. The data is calculated by using the wavelet transformation and Fourier transformation. The result shows that there are anomalous information of the GPS data of some stations in the west of China before the MS8.1 Kunlun earthquake on November 14th, 2001.
