Abstract: This paper studies the influence of changeable stress brought by Taiwan earthquake on the stress field adjustment in Southeast China by means of finite element, shows the distribution characteristics of disturbance stress field brought by the above earthquakes, and explains the synchronism of seismic activity in Taiwan and in mainland. It is proposed that the distrurbance brought by earthquakes occurred along East Taiwan earthquake belt mainly affects stress field stretching from Fujian Province to coastal Guangdong Province and Guangxi Province. But if earthquake occurs in southeast corner of Taiwan, its disturbance stress will also affect coastal East China. The disturbance stress field brought by earthquakes occurring along North Taiwan earthquake belt will affect coastal East China in addition to the area stretching from Fujian Province to coastal Guangdong Province.
