Abstract: Based on the Andrews' spectra integral method, the near-source Brune model is employed to determine the source parameters of the November 29, 1999 Xiuyan 5.4 earthquake sequence in this paper. The following results are obtained. The radiant energy- magnitude relationship is compatible with that given by Gutenberg and Richter. The slope and intercept of the moment-magnitude relationship are smaller than those of the global relationship given by Chen Pei-shan et al. The relationship between the logarithm of apparent stress and magnitude shows linear. The apparent stress increases with moment in the logarithmic coordinates. The moment decreases with the seventh power of frequency. There are different slopes in the different stages of the sequence.
