Abstract: Taking the Cangshan 5. 2 earthquake as a case, this paper explores the use of co-seismic displacement intensity method in the Shandong area earthquake early warning. We focused on automatic output of co-seismic displacement intensity in earthquake early warning. Coseismic displacement intensity method can quickly get the distribution of intensity in earthquake zone after the earthquake, which is able to meet the requirements of earthquake early warning. First, we established the Green' s function and fault parameters database of the study area. After an earthquake, based on the quickly located results, fault model can be generated according to the principle of minimum distance by calling Green' s function and fault information near the grid points of source in the database, and co-seismic displacement distribution are calculated in the background. Then through the empirical relation between intensity and co-seismic displacement, intensity distribution results can be quickly produced around the earthquake zone. There is a very important role for strong earthquake early warning, rapid disaster assessment and guiding emergency rescue.
