Abstract: In this paper, we discussed the relationship between the concentration of water radon in Shenjiatai of Jinzhou anomalous change with high value variation (the max amplitude was about 5 Bq/L) since November 20, 2016 and seismic activity in the western of Liaoning Province. Since the concentration of water radon of Shenjiatai has been observed from 2004, the observed data always keep in the range of 4 Bq/L to 5 Bq/L, and with good law of annual variation. For the abnormal variation of this time, on the basis of the exclusion of interference, we used the principle of critical slowing down in this paper to calculate the correlation coefficient and variance. The results show that both the high frequency information and variance are all have abnormal change, and the appearing time of high frequency anomalous and low frequency anomalous has synchronous change characteristics. Connecting the analysis results of the reflecting earthquake ability, seismic activities analysis, geochemical analysis and analysis on the mechanism of abnormal formation for water radon. We found that the high value fluctuation anomaly for water radon for this time in Shenjiatai has a close relationship with the adjustment of regional stress field in the western of Liaoning province, which the stress enhancement in this area and the constraint of hydrogeological conditions for the well of Shenjiatai are the main reason to cause the high value fluctuation of radon in water.
