Construction and application of the grid computing platform based on GT3

Abstract: Based on requirement of the project CEDAGrid, the paper describes the construction of Grid based computation platform on the basis of Web service technology and Grid computing technology, and the successful deployment of a realistic computation of the earthquake stress triggering on the platform (only 4 nodes). The whole process expends 13m25s on the platform, and it's 35m10s on only one node of the platform. The successful deployment of the instance proves that Grid computing technology can resolve many traditional science-computing problems of the seismological fields. The effort of this work gives a meaningful experiment on the application of Grid technology to earthquake scientific computing.
