Basic characteristics of ambient shear stress field and forecasting study of future earthquake risk area in Guangxi and its neighboring region

Abstract: In this paper, the ambient shear stress values of many moderate and small earthquakes sources in Guangxi and its neighboring region are determined by using the method of the P- wave first move half period and the earthquake magnitude data, and the observed earthquake data for more than 30 years in the area. Based on these, basic characteristics of ambient shear stress field are studied and the future earthquake risk areas are forecasted in Guangxi and its neighboring region.
