Abstract: In this paper, the author discusses 5 times of strong earthquake activity in cluster way obviously from 1900 to nowadays in Taiwan area (21.5°~25.5°N, 119.5°~123.0°E), the duration of the climax of these strong earthquake activity was different from several months to almost 4 years, the interval of clusters was different too, and there was a complementary relation between duration and interval. These phenomena are related not only to the special geographical environment and tectonics condition, but also to the great earthquake with M8 around the area.
