Abstract: On the basis of catalogic data of strong earthquakes in China, we statistically studied the preponderant spatial ranges of recurrent earthquakes with magnitude over 5 within ten years, after the occurrence of earthquakes with magnitude over 6 in North China during the period from 1300 to 1988. Based on the statistic characteristics, the spatial activity features of earthquakes with magnitude over 5 in the zone of the border land of Shanxi, Hebei, Inner Mongolia regions to Baotou were verily analyzed for the recent decade. In addition, we studied the echoic relations of earthquakes with magnitude over 5 in the border of Shanxi, Hebei, Inner Mongolia regions and the border land of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong, Henan regions since 1981, as well as that of earthquake activities in the border land of Shanxi, Hebei, Inner Mongolia regions and the Tangshan region during the period from 1998 to November 2001.The cause of formation was primarily discussed.
