Abstract: The geomagnetic network in Beijing area consists of 16 pr of iles, 150 sites and 16temporary stations. A lot of precise and reliable data have been obtained in the net-work. Using these data, the normal change background of geomagnetic field was eliminat-ed, and the seismomagnetic precursor information was analyzed and re searched. The sig-nificant seismomagnetic precursor was obtained. Several earthquakes were well predicted, and ithas active effect and some practical efficiency in earthquake monitoring and predic-tion work. Combining with this project, the tectono-magnetism re search of the under-ground nuclear explosion, the Miy unreservoir and the active fault has been carried out, providing the results with practical value for seismomagnetic precursor study. Finally, this paper discusses and prospects the development prospects of seismomagnetic precursor re search.
