COMPUTER-AIDED SYSTEM FOR EARTHQUAKE DISASTER LOSS ESTIMATION

Abstract: The Computer-aided System for Earthquake Disaster Loss Estimation (EDLES 1.0) is designed according to the Stipulation for Earthquake Disaster Losses Estimation issued by the State Seismological Bureau in 1997. The system is run on WINDOWS environment and can facilitate the normalization of the on-the-spot estimation activity. It is flexible for vario us cases of the field works and expected to satisfy the different kinds of demands from the governments, the local departments or the estimators. The basic system specification, constitution as well as main functions are introduced in the paper.
