Abstract: In this paper, the authors describe the geomag netic precursory anomalies observed be-fore the moderately strong earthquake in North China and analyse their characteristics of time process and spatial distribution. The results indicate that the mid-term, short-term and imminent anomalies of geomagnetic precursors occurred several days to several months before the earthquakes, and the distribution of precursory anomalies is of a certain regu-larity and shows a certain corresponding relation with the earthquake occurrence.
