Abstract: The clustering strong earthquake activity (MS ≥ 6. 7) in China's continent since 1900 may be divided into three classes: high, middle and lo w activity levels, which respectively corresponds to 1. 2 or more, 0. 6 -12 and 0. 6 or less annual strong earthquake numbers on average. It is predicted that the first decade of the 21-century will be a low activity period of strong earthquakes in China's continent, there will occur about five strong earthquakes and may cause larger death to ll.
