Abstract: Generally speaking, we assume a seismic source would be a point source (point set) in study on space distribution of earthquakes. An earthquake source rupture region has a certain scale. It is a li near focus in one-dimension space. It is an area focus and a body focus in two -dimensional and three-dimensional space. In this paper, we researched the acco unt method of seismic space fractal dimension in consideration of the point, li near, a rea and body foci. We developed these concepts and idea that the earthquake source is f ractal rupture. We calculated and studied the fractal dimensional of earthquake space distribution based on that seismic focal considered fractal rupture. We researched relationship between the fractal dimension of earthquake fracture and f [T(q) ]. And the physical meaning regarding q of Dq -q in no n-point-set of earthquake space distribution was also discussed.

Key words: Earthquake, Space and time distribution, No n-point-setfractal
