Stage-by-stage Characteristics of earthquake swarm activity in the North China region

Abstract: In this paper, we studied the earthquakes warms from 1970 up to now in the No rth China region. It is shown that the migration and the stage-by-stage activ ity of earthquake swarms are obvio us befo re Tang shanea rthquake. The characteri sticsare preliminary lyanalyzed by using the theory of th ree-dimensional rheological inclusion earthquake generating model. Predicted test of Zhangbei ear thquake show that the migration and earthquake swarms should be applied to the medium-tem prediction of strong earthquakes.
