Abstract: For the purpose of practically making use of satelli te space mo ni toring technology in the field of earthquake prediction, processing procedures for the collected remote thermal inf rared observation data taken by satelli teare given. Using plane and th ree-dimensio nal sof tware for image processing, information of anomaly field from remote sensing observ ation of thermal inf rared image taken by satelli te is analy zed and studied, other relevant sof tw are, such as data format transformation, data pre-processing, anomaly selection and data adapter, are also developed. It is convinced that the application of satelli tespacemoni toring technology will bringsa newmode of thinking to the field of earthquake prediction and afaster way for dataacquisition, transmission, processing and analyzing.
