Abstract: The boundary vector is the vector layer to express the image spatial coverage boundary. It contains the key information of an image such as name, collected data and storage path. According to the rapid assessment of the seismic intensity or the vector boundary provided by the user,to use the boundary vector of earthquake emergency remote sensing data to query image data and create the image data coverage map rapidly after the earthquake is very important to the emergency remote sensing data management and cartography application. Taking into account the large amount of data of emergency remote sensing images, involving many data sources and different data formats, and considering the boundary vector creation of satellite remote sensing images and UAV images, the boundary vector creation for emergency remote sensing images is proposed in this paper. This method can automatically create the boundary vector from the original compressed files and the decompressed files through the automatic recognition of satellite image formats. The boundary vector creation of UAV image data for each sortie can be automatically carried out, based on the position and attitude parameters. In this paper, C # language is employed in combination with GDAL library to compile the boundary vector map generation software, which is validated by a large amount of data. The boundary vector of satellite image and UAV remote sensing image data are respectively achieved by the algorithm proposed in this paper. The algorithm proposed in this paper is efficient robust and automatic, and it has certain generalization and application value in the field of image data management and rapid cartography.
