Abstract: On March 10, 2011, an MS5.8 earthquake struck in Yingjiang, China. On March 11, 2011 an MW9.0 earthquake struck near the east coast of Japan. Yongsheng geomagnetic station in Yunnan observed that the amplitude of Schumann resonance increased exceedingly on March 7~8 , 2011. The Schumann resonance observations affected by Yingjiang earthquake in Yongsheng station were numerically simulated based on the mechanism of Schumann resonance anomalies and finite difference time domain method. The results show that the Schumann resonance anomaly is probably related to both the Yingjiang earthquake and Japan earthquake.
