Present-day Crustal Movement Velocity Field in Mainland China Derived From GPS Observations

Abstract: With unified processing strategies and updated geophysical models, we calculated respectively the present-day crustal movement velocity field with respect to ITRF 2005 and Eurasian plate in mainland China derived from 1999—2011 GPS observations of the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China which was an important fundamental scientific engineering project in China. The velocity field reveals the large background and basic characteristics of crustal movement in mainland China, which can provide important information for research of earthquake prediction, geodynamics and so on.
