Abstract: In order to constraint the effect of short-time burst noise on the abstraction of signals from Controlled Acurate Seismic Source(CASS), a weighted matched filtering method is studied and proposed in the paper. A suitable weight is imparted to a signal segment by assessing the distribution of burst noise in this periods. Low weights are chosen for the periods with high noise level and larger weights for low noise level segment. The weighted signals are then filtered by the weighted matched filter for the purpose of reducing the impact of short-time burst noise and improving signal to noise ratio of the output signals.
