Abstract: After the 12 May, 2008 Wenchuan M8.0 Earthquake, major seismic networks in the world have made rapid reactions. The response output of these seismic networks has been introduced in this article. We put forward that the routinely used “earthquake quick report” in China can not fully meet the life-saving relief for strong earthquakes, and seismic networks outputs should combine with disaster relief reality and quickly produce a series of outputs, such as shakemap and source parameters, to suit the earthquake relief needs of government and the people.
