汶川8.0级地震及余震破裂的地质构造特征

Earthquake Geology of the Wenchuan M8.0 Mainshock and its Aftershocks

摘要: 汶川8.0级地震是发生在龙门山断裂带上的大地震。 文中应用地震地表破裂调查资料、 余震分布和震源机制资料, 论述了该次地震的主破裂、 次级破裂、 触发破裂等方面的地质特征。 认为该次地震的主破裂长约200 km, 分为南、 北两段。 南段以逆冲破裂为主, 由两条破裂带构成, 并引起上盘多条近平行的次级断裂带的破裂; 北段以右旋逆冲破裂为主, 由单条破裂带构成; 在主破裂的东北方向, 触发了长约100 km的余震活动。 汶川8.0级地震的破裂特征, 对研究龙门山断裂带其他段落的强震危险性具有重要意义。

Abstract: The Wenchuan M8 earthquake occurred on the Longmenshan fault zone. Based on field investigation of the surface rupture and focal mechanism study of the aftershocks, we studied the geological relationship of main rupture, secondary rupture and trigged rupture. The main rupture is about 200 km long which can be divided into the south part and north part. The south part consists of two parallel fault zones mainly reverse, with several parallel secondary ruptures on the hanging wall of the main fault, and the north part is a single main fault zone characterized with lateral strike slip and reverse faulting. Comparing with 300 km long aftershock distribution, the surface rupture only occupy 200 km of them, and the left 100km on the northeast of the main rupture were triggered earthquakes. The Earthquake geology results of this paper may be useful for studying the earthquake risk evolution on the Longmenshan fault system.
