地震序列类型、地震序列b值与地震大形势关系初探

STUDY ON TYPES OF EARTHQUAKE SEQUENCES AND RELATION BETWEEN b-VALUE OF EARTHQUAKE SEQUENCES AND LONG-TERM TENDENCY OF STRONG EARTHQUAKES

摘要： 根据最大地震与次大地震震级差将地震序列划分为孤立型、主余型、双震型和多震型4种。通过对我国大陆143个序列划分结果,孤立型占14%,主余型占59%,双震型占13%,多震型占14%。地震序列b值与主震震级和序列类型有关,在类型相同的情况下主震震级越大序列b值越高,在主震震级相近的序列中孤立型序列b值最小,主余型和双震型居中且差别不大,多震型b值在7级和6级地震序列中都是最大的。根据实验结果探讨了序列b值变化的原因,讨论了利用7级地震序列b值变化预测地震大形势的可能性。

Abstract: According to difference of magnitude between the largest and second largest earth quakes, the earthquake sequences are divided into four types, i. e. the single major shock, major-after shock, double major shock and multiple major shock. The results of division from 143 earthquake sequences in China's continent show that: the single major shock takes 14 % , the major-after shock takes 5 9 % , the double major shock takes 13 % , and the multiple major shock takes 14 % . The b -value of earthquake sequences are related to major shock magnitude and type of sequences. It is increased with the raising magnitude of major shock as the same type. Under similar major shock magnitudes, b -value of single major shock is the smallest, b -value for types of major-after shock and double major shock are medial with small difference, b -value of multiple major shock type is the largest, no matter what if the major shock magnitude is 7 or 6. The possibility to predict the long-term ten­dency of strong earthquakes by using the b -value change in the earthquake sequences with M = 7 is also discussed.
