Study onurban high-risk region for earthquake disaster and its GIS implementation

Abstract: How toestimate the distribution of urban earthquake disaster with various elements is introduced in the paper. The model of high-risk region analysis is built; it divides a city intomany same size cells, and every cell is assig ned an indextore present hazarddegree. From it some severe regions would bedetermined, and the information is helpful fordisasterrescuer action of the government. The model is implemented by means of computer and GIS method, and is used in the case study on Earthquake Disaster Mitigation Project of Tai'an City.
