Abstract: According to Sato single scattering model and using 114 earthquakes with ML≥2.7 in Midwestern region of Inner Mongolia recorded by Inner Mongolia digital network from 2001 to June 2006, the coda quality factors of the three regions have been studied from west to east in Midwestern region of Inner Mongolia. Above all the code quality factors of every earthquake from 4 Hz to 18 Hz with 15 frequency points is calculated; the relation between Q value and frequency is fitted, the results show that region Ⅰ is Qc(f)=(69.98±20.92)f(0.8989±0.0881), region Ⅱis Qc(f)=(55.59±14.726)f(0.9426±0.1084), region Ⅲ is Qc(f)=(69.89±18.54)f(0.8352±0.0913). The research shows that there are obvious zoning characteristics, regionⅠand Ⅲ is high Q value; region Ⅱ is low Q value, this result shows that there is definite relation between particular structural type zoning and code Q value.
