Abstract: As to the abnormal of water level variation of new seismic observation well in Baodi, Tianjin. Firstly, the hydrochemical analysis of new well and the surrounding water sources is carried out, the result showed that new well water is mainly caused by atmospheric precipitation, and there is a certain water and rock action, either no obvious hydraulic connection between the surrounding water and new well. Secondly, simulated the reservoir discharge by finite element method, the consequence indicated that the strain of the reservoir discharge is not enough to cause the large scale change of the new well water level. Thirdly, through the harmonic analysis, it is found that the hydrographic medium parameters of the aquifer have not changed obviously when the water level of the new well is greatly changed. In summary, the main reason for the abnormal of the water level in the new well is probably the secondary fault of the Baodi fault has undergone a certain creep deformation under the regional stress, and resulting in the synchronous response process of the new well aquifer system near the fault. By the combination of various methods, this study can provide reference for judging the abnormal disturbance of groundwater level in the future.
