Abstract: A data processing system of digital seismic network based on Unix-like operating system with tight core is introduced in this paper. It may perform all core features of data processing for a seismic network in low cost. It may receive real time data from serial ports and dedicated networks or public networks and support real-time node data service which is requested by virtual seismic networking. The real-time data serving protocol used in this system has characteristics of real-time, reliability, and wide suitability etc, it may meet the needs of all real time seismic waveform data applications, including earthquake early warning. This core system is tight in its structure, highly automatic, safe, stable, extendable, etc. It is suitable for centers of digital seismic network with less than 100 stations and complicated structure. At the same time, it may also be used as a node in the center of a large scale seismic network to form a large data process system for it.
