Abstract: By using the data of com prehensive mechanism solutions of small earthquakes and suing the signs of initial Pwave reco rded by seismic reco rding, the dynamic changes of stress field of small ea rthquakes occurred before four modera te-strong earthquakes in North China have been studied. Combined with some previo us results, we have generalized preliminarily he dynamic evolution characteristics of stress field in the focal region and its adjacent area before m oderate and strong earthquakes, and tried to give out the judg em entindex of earthquake prediction with the comprehensive mechanism solution of small earthquake.
