Abstract: As a basic theoretical research paper, thermoelastic P wave propagating in the medium with fluid mezzanine is studied. We found that there exist reflected wave, transmitted wave and the temperature wave with the same velocity. In this situation, reflection coefficient and transmission coefficient are all complex numers. They are related to physical parameters of the medium and the thickness of mezzanine. The amplitude and phase of the reflected wave and transmitted wave are influenced by the physical parameters of the medium and the thickness of mezzanine. In addition, interlayer wave bounding within themedia is the overlay of a series of positive thermoelastic waves and negative thermoelastic waves.
