Abstract: Abnormal dynamic change of groundwater could be precursors of earthquakes, but it was sometimes induced by other environmental disturbances. For distinguishing earthquake precursor,it is important to identify environmental disturbance in time. Groundwater level of Wan-27well repeatedly decreased since October 2012,and the maximum amplitude was about 70centimeters.To determine the cause of the abnormality accurately, in this study, the source and exploiting interference are analyzed combined with the hydro-chemical and physical methods, and the hydrochemical and physical characteristics of the Wan Wan-27well water and surface water nearby are studied. The results show that, the precipitation recharge accounts for a certain percentage of sources of Wan-27well,waterrock effect is relatively low,and there are deep groundwater recharges.Groundwater pumping is one of the factors for the repeatedly decreasing of groundwater level in Wan-27 well, furthermore, the abnormality can’t completely be due to deep groundwater pumping, regional tectonic activity is the main cause of the water level anomaly. The approach of this study may be helpful to disturbance identification and precursor confirmation in the future.
