Rayleigh Wave Group Velocity Tomography Based on Ambient Noise in the Border Area of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong, and Henan Provinces

摘要: 晋冀鲁豫交界地区位于华北克拉通的东南部, 研究该区地壳结构有助于进一步了解河北南部及其邻区地质构造演化特征、 发震机制、 发震规律。 本文收集了晋冀鲁豫交界地区两年84个地震台连续波形观测资料, 通过台站对波形互相关, 得到各台站对间的经验格林函数, 再利用图像分析技术提取瑞利波频散曲线。 本文基于面波直接成像方法得到不同深度剪切波速度结构。 结果显示, 该区部分速度异常与该区地表地质构造单元存在相关性, 速度异常呈区域分布特征, 山区和盆地呈现非常显著的速度差异, 浅层上地壳结构速度变化特征与沉积层厚度、 结晶基底埋深等区域构造密切相关, 中下地壳及上地幔存在不规则的速度异常, 与该区的地震发生存在相关性。

Abstract: The border area of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces is located in the southeast of North China Craton. The study of the crustal structure of this area can further understand the geological structure evolution characteristics, earthquake mechanism, and seismogenic regularity in the southern Hebei and its adjacent areas. This paper collects the continuous waveform observation data of 84 seismic stations in the border area of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces. Through the calculation of the correlation and superposition of the waveforms of stations, the empirical Green's function between each station pair is obtained. And then the Rayleigh wave dispersion curve is extracted by image analysis technology. In this paper, the velocity structures of shear waves at different depths are obtained based on the surface wave direct imaging method. The results show that some velocity anomalies are related to the surface geological tectonic units in the area, and the velocity anomaly shows regional distribution characteristics. Significant velocity difference exists between the basins and the mountains. The velocity variation characteristics of the shallow upper crust structure are closely related to the regional structure such as the thickness of sedimentary layer and the buried depth of crystalline basement, and the irregular velocity anomalies of the middle and lower crust and upper mantle are related to the occurrences of earthquakes.
